ACTRONICS offers cost-effective solutions for electronic components through the process of remanufacturing. Not only is this cheaper than fixing or ordering new parts, it promotes sustainability in the industry by reducing the use of brand new parts.

We are proud to help our customers save money, and reduce the burden on the environment.

Our founder's beginnings

In 2004, Leon Kleine Staarman was thinking about how the electrical components in cars are fixed, or more often, completely replaced.

Not only did he find this process wasteful in terms of cost for the customer and the environment, it wasn’t leading to better performing and more reliable parts.Leon thought it would be possible to do more than fix the broken components or throw the entire part out. That’s when Leon started ACTRONICS and began working with the idea of remanufacturing, and introducing more performance and resilience into faulty components.

Nearly 20 years later, and Leon is an authoritative voice in the world of remanufacturing, and ACTRONICS is one of the world’s largest remanufacturers.

Our commitment to the environment

When Leon founded ACTRONICS in 2005, he was acutely aware of just how much waste the car repair industry produced, and that drove his interest in remanufacturing.

Automotive manufacturing makes use of all kinds of materials that can have an adverse impact on the environment, and is felt even more keenly in the electric vehicle market due to the metals required to produce batteries.

He realised that remanufacturing can:

  • Reduce demand for brand new parts
  • Give new life to existing parts
  • Reduce the amount of e-waste going to landfill
    Promote a culture of re-use and environmental friendliness

Our commitment to the environment is proven by our ISO14001:2015 accreditation, which recognises:

  • Enhancement of environmental performance
  • Fulfilment of compliance obligations
  • Achievement of environmental obligations

ISO certified
ACTRONICS Ltd is proud to announce that we are ISO9001:2015 and ISO14001:2015 certified for the remanufacture and supply of replacement automotive electrical parts and managing the environmental effects of our business in a systematic manner. Professional and sustainable solutions

Our UK Colchester facility’s staff work daily on testing and remanufacturing ECU’s, ABS’s, ACC’s, body control units, instrument clusters, throttle bodies, and much more. At ACTRONICS, our aim is to increase the lifespan of the product and deliver superior quality to the original product. All of our solutions come with a two-year warranty.

In a world with increasing demand for sustainable applications by consumers, legislators, regulators and the industry, ACTRONICS’ remanufacturing technique reduces the demand for brand new components by reusing defective components.

Consumers were typically used to having electrical components replaced entirely. ACTRONICS has not only given those defective electronic components a new lease of life through remanufacturing, but has saved customers’ money by not having to order and fit brand new electrical components.

Today, consumers are more interested in the right to repair, and an alternative to new. The 2020 public opinion polls, Eurobarometer, found that 66% of respondents struggled to repair their products, or conduct repairs through a third party. The survey showed that 75% of Europeans are in favour of the right to repair and the creation of a circular economy.

ACTRONICS already has nearly 20 years of experience in the field of automotive remanufacturing and is the knowledge leader across Europe. We will continue to innovate and improve our processes to help customers and reduce the burden on the environment.

Our core values:

  • High quality remanufactured electric components
  • Excellent quality at an affordable price;
  • Two years warranty;
  • Personal service and advice;
  • Exclusive to garages and dealerships;
  • To strive for a remanufacture within 48 hours;

Award winning services

In 2018, our COO, Thijs Jasink, took home the prize for Best Reman Ambassador at the Rematec Conference, a leading global platform for remanufacturers.

Not only is ACTRONICS recognised for its high quality remanufacturing techniques, Thijs was recognised for his services to remanufacturing and helping to grow its profile.

Thijs is deeply passionate and knowledgeable about the world of remanufacturing, and is always researching into new techniques and processes to make life easier for garages, dealerships and customers alike.

Innovation is our strength

Continuous improvement and upgrading our suite of solutions is what we focus on, which is why our Research & Development department is solely focused on improving our approach. We always seek to refine remanufacturing techniques to give car-owners more value for their money.

Our advanced facilities have equipment that is often developed in-house to carry out remanufacturing. We do not aim to only fix, but to create structural improvements in the components through our remanufacturing techniques, offering better quality, more value and a longer lifespan.

Driving excellence and competition

At ACTRONICS, we always want to encourage our employees and partner mechanics alike to strive for better and to continually improve their knowledge of the ever-changing automotive remanufacturing sector.

That’s why we launched the ACTRONICS Service Point Awards in 2020! Participants are invited to take part in an online test and are interviewed by the awards team to learn more about their journey with ACTRONICS and what separates them from their competitors. Once the awards team has selected a shortlist of 10 finalists, the public are given the chance to vote for the winner.

We’ve had winners from all over the Netherlands and participants from neighbouring countries, and we can’t wait to welcome a British member of the Service Point family into the circle of award winners.

We’d like to congratulate our 2022 winner, Cor Melissant from Dirksland, Netherlands!

Are you looking for a remanufacturing solution?

The remanufacture process consists of a number of different steps, from an entry test to end of line testing, before a product is returned to a customer. If any weak or vulnerable components are identified during the remanufacture process, they will be preventively replaced. This guarantees the quality of the product and lengthens the lifespan of the component compared to a brand new version.
